Who is Pat Lupica?
Pat Lupica is a PhD business candidate, an academic at various education institutions, and President of LNK Consulting; expertise includes supply chain management (SCM), globalization, curriculum development and writing - she is recognized as a subject matter expert by John Wiley and Sons, and OD and training. Industry experience spans 20 years in various capacities and industries, and she has been teaching since 2005.
When not consulting, teaching, or researching, Pat fills her days/nights/weekends with her family. She also enjoys various crafts, card playing, working in the yard, and occasionally she can be spotted paddling out of the Oceanside Harbor with the local outrigger club. Pat lives in Oceanside, California.
What makes Pat Lupica a Supply Chain Expert?
Pat is a Supply Chain (SC) expert because she has and continues to be immersed in it; everything from her practitioner career, to teaching, to writing, to researching and learning. She has a unique well-rounded view of SC challenges to include the international arena. Her graduate studies from the University of San Diego offered her an opportunity to be engrossed in SCM, and to be mentored and taught by some of the greatest globalization and SCM minds around the world. Pat continues to explore globalization and SCM challenges through her studies at the International School of Management in France where she is exposed to an international student body and faculty like no other. Research projects are also spent on areas of globalization [SC] challenges and drivers, which includes technology.
What Pat Lupica is writing about and why should you read it?
In addition to writing blogs that provide practitioners with information to address everyday business challenges, Pat has and continues to write and present about the disconnects between demand and supply; also her dissertation topic. This area is considered extremely important because as long as firms have a disconnect between demand and supply, there is no way to gain alignment and therefore realize SC benefits.
Globalization and risk management continue to be primary research topics. This is considered important because of the unique challenges that globalization presents, which include challenges such as disparate conditions in legal, economic, financial, and regulatory systems, cultures, and differing views on social and environmental responsibility.
Collaboration is another topic of interest. Pat contributed to “42 Rules for Successful Collaboration”, which has recently been released. What others are saying:
